Position Overview
We are seeking a Director of Private Market Operations who thrives on execution. You will build our operational backbone while executing daily tasks. This is not a purely strategic, hands-off leadership role. You will directly manage fund administration, trade settlements, and investor onboarding. Your work will bridge high-level operational strategy and daily administrative precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Daily Operations: Manage end-to-end processing of private equity, venture capital, or real estate transactions.
- Oversee Fund Administration: Reconcile capital calls, distributions, NAV calculations, and financial reporting directly.
- Lead Investor Onboarding: Handle KYC/AML compliance checks and subscription document processing manually.
- Optimize Internal Systems: Design, implement, and personally test scalable workflows and data management tools.
- Manage Vendor Relationships: Coordinate closely with external fund administrators, legal counsel, and tech providers.
Qualifications
- Experience: 15+ years in private market operations (PE, VC, or Private Credit).
- Leadership Style: Proven track record of working as a sole contributor or in lean teams.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in private market software
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Attributes: Extreme attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills
