Responsibilities:

  • Act as the focal point to develop, manage and maintain overall relationship with trustee service clients for investment funds which covers the aspects of new fund launch, changes in investment policies, investment compliance, trustee approvals under trust deed, offering documents and Mutual Recognition of Funds (MRF) etc.
  • Responsible for overseeing the regulated activity and ensure that investment funds operate according to scheme documents and that service providers are competent to carry out their functions which includes:
    • Review trust and fund documentation and advise clients on trustee and fiduciary matters to ensure applicable governance policies and procedures comply properly
    • Perform validation and compliance checking on fund operations
    • Monitor and supervise service quality and standards of fund managers, custodians and other 3rd party service providers
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors on the part of trustee function for audit engagements
  • Support the Department Head to enhance fund governance policies and procedures, monitor the implementation plan for new client on-boarding, formulate business plans with new and existing clients and handle the Request for proposal (RFP) process.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve the best-in-class services, professionalism and operational efficiency as well as full of compliance to safeguard the interests of the trustee service clients and beneficiaries.
  • Participate in trustee industry meetings and coordinate responses to consultations on regulatory changes relating to trust business.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree holder or above in relevant discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in trustee and fund industry
  • Good understanding of the regulatory and governing frameworks for trustee services and investment funds
  • Solid knowledge in fund operation
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
